Terms and Conditions of My Hart Dog Training

GENERAL

Acceptance of the service of 'My Hart Dog' constitutes acceptance of our policy and conditions of business. There will be no variation in the policy unless confirmed in writing. All services are subject to availability

TRAINING EQUIPMENT

Harsh handling or force are not permitted during sessions. Please ensure your dog is wearing a normal flat collar and a normal dog lead. You may also use a harness if you wish. For puppies we recommend using a Y shaped harness.

ITEMS NOT PERMITTED: check or half check collars, prong/pinch collars, electronic collars, citronella collars, ultrasonic collars, any device which emits a noise intended for punishment or interruption in a harsh manner. Slip leads are permitted in dogs which are acclimatised and trained to walk with a loose lead.
Any other device used to punish, cause fear or intimidation. Failure to comply with this section of the terms and conditions may result in cessation of service without a refund

DOGS

“My Hart Dog” will without hesitation will report any dog/pet that is being mistreated, neglected or abused immediately to the appropriate authorities which can take necessary action. If a dog brings harm to another person/dog or damages property the owner is liable for the offence made.

Under the ‘Control of Dogs Order' (1992) all dogs must be wearing a suitable collar with the owner’s name and address inscribed either on a plate on the collar or on a tag attached to the collar. This is to be worn at all times in public places.

All dogs must be kept ON LEAD unless specifically instructed to do otherwise by the trainer. You are responsible for your dog’s behaviour at all times during sessions.

CLASSES

Please be considerate of other owners and dogs. Some may feel uncomfortable with your dog entering their personal space. Always ask for permission before allowing your dog to approach others closely.

Class timings and dates are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather or other factors beyond our control. In such instances, we will make every effort to provide alternative options.

NOTE: When you are entering / leaving the class venue

Please ensure any doors or gates to the venue building are closed.
You must always clear up after your dog and pop any poop into the bin highlighted at the start of the course, or please bag appropriately and dispose of at home.
In signing up for classes you are signing up to agree that your dog is dog-to-dog tolerant, unless highlighted in advance to My Hart Dog.
My Hart Dog Training reserves the right to ask you to leave at any time should the dog’s welfare be deemed to be compromised.

DOGS HEALTH

VACCINATIONS: All puppies and dogs are required to have had their first vaccinations for indoor classes, and second booster if the class is being held outside. We may require to see proof of vaccination at your first class. We do ask that your puppies worming schedule is up to date as recommended by your vet.

Should you choose not to vaccinate, a letter stating your dog’s blood titre levels must be presented on headed paper and signed by your veterinary surgeon. If you choose this route, My Hart Dog Training will not be held responsible for any illness your dog may contract whilst training with us.

ILLNESS: Please do NOT bring your puppy or dog along to classes in the case of illness. Contact us first if you are not sure.

BITCHES IN SEASON: Please do not attend if your female dog comes into season. We advise a MINIMUM of 21 days wait from start of season before recommencing group classes or one to ones sessions unless in your home/garden.

OWNERS

Please ensure you are wearing flat, enclosed foot-wear, please do not wear high heels or flip flops. Please treat all other owners with kindness and respect. Aggressive or in appropriate behaviour from the owner may result in a cancellation of service, with no refund.

CANCELATION/ REFUND PAYMENT

Bookings are not confirmed without payment. ( unless by prior arrangement with "My Hart Dog")

Where a provisional booking has been offered, this must be paid for within 5 days to secure the booking. Provisional bookings cannot be held longer than 5 days without payment.

Payment can be made by cash BACS, credit/debit card.

CANCELLING OR RESCHEDULING

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a booked session we will try and be as accommodating as possible.

TRAINING CLASSES

Cancellation with more than 3 weeks’ notice to start date of class -100% refund.

Cancellations with less than 2 weeks’ notice to start date of class – refund or alternative class offered at our discretion. It can be annoying to lose places in classes that could have been filled when more notice is given!

Sessions are non-transferable, if you miss a class, we will send you homework but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee an alternative session.

ONE TO ONE SESSSIONS

Cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice – no refund

PLEASE NOTE: PROGRAMMES/COURSES

To ensure smooth scheduling, we kindly ask that you book your sessions promptly. Timely bookings assist us in effectively managing our calendars, and we want you to fully benefit from our courses. If there are any changes in your availability, please notify us at your earliest convenience. Be aware that courses will expire without a refund after a specified period. We recommend noting this deadline when you make your booking.
